FIFA Rankings 2011

FIFASpain still rules the world and are right there at the top of the FIFA Rankings 2011. As far as international matches are concerned, the Euro 2012 qualifiers are going on, and if we compare the present rankings to the rankings released in April, there has hardly been any movement in the top slots. In fact, in the top 50, there is only Senegal who have moved up 11 places to claim position number 40. Jamaica moves up 9 places to land number 55.

Ecuador have managed to drop 8 places to position 64. And then there is Malawi who have gained 6 places to be placed at number 72. Besides these movements, all other countries have either not had any movement, or just one or two positions up or down. The next set of FIFA World Rankings 2011 will be released just before the end of June, and looking at the top 5 currently, in all probability, there won’t be any change there. Nevertheless, every game and every point makes a difference eventually, and it will be interesting to see who managed to move up when those rankings are released.
