How to Buy the Right Makeup

DCF 1.0For those of you who need to know all about buying and applying makeup by yourself, I have something here that you may be interested in.

Choosing the Right Makeup
Don’t just go in for some brand or something you have heard of. Be wise and choose what suits you the best.

  • Make a list of things you need and want. That way, you will know what to buy for sure. For a beginner, you only need the basics. To know your shade, you just have to look at the makeup and try a little on your hand. The shade that looks the most natural is your shade. Make sure that the colors you pick out suit your skin tone, and are of high quality, good value, and suit your skin type. Pick a brand you want to try, and go to their counter at the store. This way, you can try on the products before you buy anything.
  • Start with the simple things, like mascara and eyeliner. If you have a lot of blemishes or pimples, use a powder foundation. For eyeshadow, start with neutral colors, like browns, tans, deep blues, or purples. For light skin, you should wear soft-colored eyeshadows, pink lipsticks, and dark mascara.
  • You will also need to take a moment and think of what you can and cannot buy according to your budget. If you are short of cash, don;t just buy whatever you can with the available resources. Maybe you can postpone your purchase for a month or so till you have enough money to buy the right stuff.

Complexion Guide
Choosing the right makeup for you has everything to do with your age, skin type, and complexion. And while the choices can be daunting, here are a few simple guidelines you can follow.

  • Teens The best look for you is fresh, pretty, and clean. Pinpoint your best feature, like your skin, lips, or eyes, and use makeup to emphasize it. The rule of thumb for teens is that ‘you’ should stand out, not your makeup.
  • Asian Yellow-based foundations and powders work very well for Asian skin. Avoid pink-based foundations and powders; they result in a harsh and unnatural look.
  • Hispanic Wear shades that enhance your natural, striking, dark tone. Avoid bright shades; they will only clash with your color.
  • African-American Darker skin has many complex undertones. That’s why you should get to know your skin and its specific undertones, and choose shades that complement your natural color.
  • Older Adults While many women tend to wear more makeup as they get older, that strategy can backfire. Simplifying your makeup and coordinating with your natural tone will give you a healthier and younger appearance.

Brands You Can try
Ulta, Target, CVS, Walgreen’s, MAC, Sephora, NARS, Urban Decay, Dior, Chanel, Maybelline, CoverGirl, Revlon.

Remember one thing, everyone has different complexions and features. What might look good on your friend won’t necessarily suit you. So make sure you try out anything before making a purchase. This is the only way to buy the right makeup for yourself.

These pests are so small that we can hardly see them around. But they are as irritating as any other pest on our planet. Which is why, getting rid of them, or better still, preventing them is the way to go, in order to get some good sleep. That’s why, here, we are going to talk all about bed bug infestation prevention.

Bed bugs usually land up in the cushions and bedding that is not changed or washed properly for some period of time. And mind you, they get all comfy in the corners and places we cannot see, in the bed mattresses and furniture cushions. Many people don’t even realize that their house has been infested by bed bugs, until these pests have made a good stronghold around. Therefore, the bed bug infestation signs are very important to be aware of. So first, let us see how does one identify if there is a bed bug problem in the first place.

Bed Bug Infestation Signs

  • You get an itch only after you get into the bed or sit down on the couch. All day long, this itch was not there. If this happens more than once, it is a sure sign of bed bug infestation.
  • You see spots on the bedsheets or cushion covers, which is more easily identifiable when the sheets are the lighter colored type. These spots are as a result of blood marks and waste that the bugs leave in their trail.
  • Bed bug bites often result into beg bug rash. As mentioned above, you don’t seem to get this rash anytime when you are out of the house. It is only when you get to bed, that the itchiness starts, and you are plagued with the irritating scratchy red rash.

Need I say, that bed bug infestation treatment will be your top priority if you are facing this menace. Here are some great, yet simple tips that you could follow to prevent this problem at home.

Bed Bug Infestation Prevention Tips

  • The first thing that you should do is remove all the bedding, covers, cushions, and get them out in the sun. This will get the pesky bugs to come out of their cozy hidings and run off.
  • Now all the stuff needs to be sent to the laundry, for some really nice washing. This will eliminate any trace of the bugs, so that when you get them back to use, the infestation will not happen again.
  • A thorough vacuuming needs to be done to all the furniture and beds, especially the ones in the hall and bedroom.
  • You can also lay your hands on some good bug spray that is available in the market, and spray the infested areas well.
  • If the infestation turns out to be severe, get a pest control done by professionals. Besides, regular home pest control is something that every household should indulge in.

As I said at the start, tackling this problem is no rocket science. Besides, we all are aware that prevention is better than cure. So make sure you change and wash your bedding, covers, and cushions on a regular basis, keep the place spic and span, and there will be no reason why these pests should invade your lovely home.
